ABOUT THE ROLE

As in-house Creative Visual Designer, you will be responsible for the creation of engaging material for both internal and external use – across multiple digital and print mediums – with the ultimate goal of ensuring brand recognition, continuity, and heightened visibility through pictures, graphics, and style. 

In this role, you will report to the Director of Marketing &Corporate Communications and will work both independently and in a team setting on short and long-term creative projects, always ensuring consistency of the Nipro branding, and managing the retention and distribution of Nipro assets.

A successful candidate should be a master of industry-leading software programs and technologies (e.g. InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.) and proficient in product photography. Coupled with skills in multi-tasking and communication, a successful candidate should also be able to keep true to the Nipro look and feel, while simultaneously breathing fresh life into the brand.

Physical Demands & Working Conditions:
This role operates in a professional open office environment; this role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones. Prolonged sitting at a desk and using of computer equipment may be necessary
Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and boost Nipro's visibility through creative, engaging, and compelling visual designs to support the company's commercial and internal objectives
  • Maintain consistency across all mediums in accordance with the Nipro brand
  • Design projects include, but are not limited to, marketing collateral (e.g. brochures, catalogs, instructional support material), LinkedIn posts, product photography and postproduction, signage and displays for events, presentations, visual support for website and virtual showrooms, etc.
  • Establish modern, clean, audience-appealing ways to lay outcopy that is written in-house
  • Review published material and recommend changes in scope, format, pictures and/or methods of reproduction
  • Rework and upgrade the layout and design of existing material
  • Manage a library of all digital assets and ensure consistency in publication across all platforms (e.g. website, virtual showroom, etc.)
  • Maintain knowledge of creative marketing trends and best practices, ensuring the marketing department offers "future-proof" solutions
  • Multi-task between different projects, across different divisions and departments, while maintaining a unified corporate look and feel
  • Ensure compliance to branding guidelines, both externally and internally
  • Ensure quality creative content is delivered in a timely fashion by setting and adjusting priorities
  • Work independently and in a team setting
  • Work collaboratively with global Nipro teams
  • Work collaboratively with third-party vendor on specialized projects

Education & Certification Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree or the equivalent of 8+ years as afull-time graphic/media/visual designer
  • Degree in Design, Fine Arts, or related field is a plus
  • Advanced degree is a plus

Experience & Required Skills:

  • 3-5 years of proven graphic design experience (medical/life sciences industry not required, but is a plus)
  • A compelling portfolio showcasing creativity, skills, and dexterity
  • Mastery of industry-standard design software programs and technologies (e.g. InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.)
  • Proficiency in product photography and postproduction
  • A keen eye for aesthetics, balance, and minute details
  • Proven creative talent, while staying true to the Nipro brand
  • Proven strengths in multi-tasking, asset management, and shifting priorities where needed
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines and work methodically, both independently and in a team setting
  • Proven drive, proactivity, and willingness to succeed in an entrepreneurial organization
  • Proven aptitude to clearly communicate the reasoning behind design choices
  • Videography/video-editing not required, but is a plus
