About the Role:

As Product Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing initiatives and programs to drive growth and profitability for all renal products – existing and to come – within the organization.

In this role, you will report to the Marketing Manager and will work cross-functionally on market development, product life cycle management, marketing analytics, clinical and customer segmentation, events and lead generation, and collateral creation while working closely with internal and external stakeholders.

A successful candidate should possess strong marketing and clinical proficiency, cross-functional leadership skills, and abilities to synthesize solutions and recommendations for assigned projects. This role leads and supports both strategic, tactical, and scientific marketing activities.

Essential Functions:

As market strategist & analyzer:

  • Collaborate with both external and internal stakeholders (e.g. sales, clinical, finance, RAQA, legal, R&D, and healthcare professionals)
  • Lead projects and programs to bolster existing accounts and increase market development in new territories – focused on growing Nipro’s overall renal market share
  • Analyze and articulate market attractiveness, competitor activity, clinical opportunities, growth factors, risks, and mitigation efforts
  • Monitor the competitive landscape and learn competitive technologies, products, strategies, strengths, and weaknesses
  • Create and execute comprehensive competitive responses and objection handling plans


As product expert & presenter:

  • Function as a central resource for product-related inquiries
  • Author original content in the form of marketing collateral and training material destined for internal and external audiences
  • Upgrade existing content as needed and across all channels/platforms 
  • Together with sales and clinical teams, host meetings for healthcare professionals with a focus on scientific and clinical marketing
  • Conduct sales training to new hires and for ongoing educational efforts
  • Support field activities such as demos, hands-on workshops, education, and lead generation
  • Develop external executive presentations with quantitative arguments and qualitative data


As scientific & clinical marketing specialist:

  • Demonstrate a general command of clinical literature and hemodialysis, as well as knowledge of regulatory and compliance procedures in medical and healthcare marketing
  • Design, develop, and implement scientific/clinical-focused marketing plans, presentations, and collateral for new and established products
  • Analyze current scientific market advancements, competitor news, studies, etc. to develop strategies to support business goals and objectives
  • Collaborate with the Renal sales and clinical teams to provide solution-specific tactical marketing plans


As relationship-builder:

  • Identify and establish relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) while working with the sales team to develop product advocates
  • Manage relationships with professional societies
  • Attend regional and national events, tradeshows, conferences, meetings, etc.


As a willing, organized, collaborative partner:

  • Work cohesively and collaboratively with marketing communications to build the brand, deliver messaging and marketing tools, create awareness and buzz to generate market pull
  • Plan, execute, and track projects in timely and effective manner
  • Contribute to the achievement of sales goals and track the marketing expense budget for renal activities
Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position does not have direct report

Travel Required:

Up to 20% travel with overnight stay(s) may be required

Education & Certification Requirements:
  • Undergraduate degree required
  • Degree in scientific discipline is preferred
  • Advanced degree is a plus
Experience & Required Skills:
  • 3-5 years of experience in marketing, product management, clinical education, sales, or related business management role
  • Experience speaking and presenting to clinical profiles, dialysis nurses, techs, biomeds, etc.
  • Experience with medical device sector, preferably related to nephrology, dialysis, vascular access, etc.
  • Demonstratable record of success working in a team environment
  • Proven ability to drive success in an entrepreneurial organization, working with different internal and external/customer cultures
  • Proven drive, proactivity, and willingness to succeed in an entrepreneurial organization
  • Proven analytical and creative talent, tactical and strategic thinking, and innovative and pragmatic approaches
  • Proven strengths in multi-tasking and project management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
